WhamBam 5

“Fork In The Road…”

Here are the highlights

  • 22/11/25

El and I, are just so mind blown by the ongoing joy that is WhamBam.

That was a magical night of stories.

Amantha opened the night and our hearts, with her brave and vulnerable story about making a very hard decision to end her marriage but in so doing, meet the love of her life.

Next in line Rob Seltzers solid tale of being in Isreal, all backed up, fully impacted, unable to make any moves over nine days, trying all kinds of israeli remedies and then immense relief of a miracle poo and the relief there was no cancer. Both he and Igor the giant Russian gastroenterologist, with giant hands were relieved.

Over to Rebecca with her journey to finding a new role and the ability to confront the impostor syndrome with the help of her little four legged friend.

Then Simon, took the mic and all of us on a middle eastern journey. This led him to the top of mount Sinai to throw a frisbe, then a pilgrimage to Bethlehem which was a well worn track and thankfully due to his brilliant artistic skills allowed him to escape incarceration.

After the break,Shawn Goldberg took the MC reins and did an outstanding job, his short sharp repertoire was perfect and not too long at all.

Lara delivered the goods, with what its like to perform at the most famous musical venue in the world and the unexpected fork in the road when a band mate breaks sixteen bones in his hand, the one needed to hold and play his voilin.

Dave took the spot light and brought the fire, the heat and, a camping sweat lodge to us. He managed to out wit a giant snake, hunt for the perfect fire wood, not get splinters in his hands, and took the fork in the road get naked and get closer to the great outdoors.

Naomi told a very vunerable story about her journey into self discovery, with its many various partners and relationships. Coming to an understanding that time will bring maturity

And finaly Shep closed the show. With a story so unique and comical set in a juvenile detention centre where he and his performance partner performed naked while both eating fire and holding a chainsaw which catalysed a riot and an emergency evacuation

Then to listen to Lamin Sonko and the afrobiotics was pure joy

El and I are so pround that you have all come on this journey with us. We have definitely learnt a lot and hope to bing more to you soon, and dont frett. The next one will be back in our home...the only problem is the tickets will sell out even faster now.

Love to you all, hope you had as much fun as we did. See you soon.
